PROVISIONALS
After the implants have been placed, it’s time to provide your patient with teeth. At Hopetown Dental Lab, we utilize our digital workflow to set design expectations right from the start by digitally designing and printing your provisional restoration. Using state-of-the-art design software, 3D printing technology, and advanced materials, we can create a temporary solution that your patient will love. This provisional is stronger than the traditional method of converting a denture and gives us a head start on the final design process.
The patient will wear the provisional until the implants are fully healed. During this time, the provisional will slightly wear into the patient’s natural pattern. Once it’s time to proceed to the final restoration, we take a final tissue scan with scan bodies and also scan the provisional. This allows us to make any necessary modifications to the final design, ensuring a perfect fit and function.
FINAL RESTORATION
Once the doctor has deemed the implants healed, we move on to the final restoration. Throughout our process, we have created multiple records and scans to ensure the final restoration fits perfectly. Utilizing state-of-the-art 90-degree milling technology, we achieve aesthetics quicker and more accurately than ever before.
Zirconia Hybrid Bridges have stood the test of time and are the ultimate restoration for a complete All-On case. We use special zirconia specifically manufactured for these hybrids. Along with the digital design, our experienced technicians add the final touches by hand, utilizing the best porcelains, stains, and glazes available.
All-on-X DIGITAL WORK FLOW
1st Appointment
Records Appointment
The first appointment is our initial records appointment. During this appointment we will take initial scans. These scans will establish the patients bite as well as ideal VDO. We also will take facial pictures both straight on and from the side.
2nd Appointment
Surgery
Surgery will be the longest appointment. If you are not utilizing our guided services, you will put the scan bodies over the MUA’s and take the scan. This will be sent directly to the lab for us to manufacture the temporary prosthesis. If you utilize guided services, your temporary prosthesis will be delivered with the guide for immediate loading. If you do not want to immediately load your patient, a denture can be provided for them to heal with.
2nd Appointment*
Delivery of Temporary Arch
If you did not go guided, your temporary arch will be delivered on a scheduled date that was established during the planning phase of the case. Most cases this is the next day or within 48 hours.
3rd Appointment
Tissue Scans & Temporary Scan
After the patient has healed, usually about 3-5 months, you now take tissue scans. You will place the MUA scan bodies back on the implants and take the final records. This scan ensures the tissue has healed correctly, no implants have moved, and helps us make any minor modifications to the final. During this appointment you will also scan the provisional. We use this data to understand the natural wear patterns of the patient.
Final Appointment
Final Prosthesis Delivery
The final appointment in the process will be the delivery of the final Zirconia Hybrid. You may keep the temporary prosthesis as a back up should anything happen to the patient. Make sure to take good pictures post delivery of the patient for your records.
